With the warmer weather and that lovely sun starting to make an appearance my mind has turned to summer workout gear so that I can work on that runtan (because everyone loves sports bra tan marks right?)
1) Missguided Tank (£12) - Not going to lie, I love a slogan vest and this is a good affordable addition to the collection
2) Nike Pro Sports Bra (£22) - It’s a classic and for us ladies who are… how to put it… petite on top… it provides great support for low and high-intensity workouts. Plus, Nike’s Volt colour (the fluro yellow) is my favourite colour EVER
3) Nike Vapour Jacket (£65) - It’s not cheap but a light, reflective jacket is perfect for those early morning runs. Plus, when you get warm and want to tie it round your waist it’s lovely and light
4) 2XU Elite MCS Compression shorts (£65) - Again, these aren’t cheap but as someone who has been blessed with strong and VERY present quads, those little flimsy running shorts are just going to cause all kinds of chafing. No one needs that so my solution is a great pair of technical longer shorts. The compression tech will also help with recovery
5) Under Armour Fly-By Compression Capri (£35) - For when you want a bit more coverage than shorts these are perfect. And they look cool. Double win
6) Saucony Omni 13 (£110) - As a serious over-pronator these are the only trainers that I’ll run or train in as they give the greatest support. Seriously, they’re amazing
You might have noticed that there is no pink in my lust list and that is because I don’t really agree with the fitness industry’s mindset of ‘well let’s just shrink it a bit and make it pink and the girls will love it’. I like to look good when I work out, not like a pack of Love Hearts.
Oh, and finally, when are we going to get workout leggings in petite lengths?! Some of us are over here rolling up our leggings…
